I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the HP Scitex FB700 UV flatbed? We came across a reasonably prices 2014 model with about 430,000 ft2 printed. I'm wondering if this is a high or low number for this type of machine? We currently only have an HP Latex 365 and a Designjet, so we're not too familiar with the life expectancy of a UV machine. We're trying to figure out if we're going to take a step backwards if we make the purchase. We don't want to put more work into it due to it being older.. Looking for experiences, info, resources, thoughts, etc.

    Thanks in advance!

We are still running our 2014 FB700. The condition of the print heads is your main expense with the machine. In our case, it's 12 print heads (we run 4c+white) at $1,800/ea not counting service call and labor for install and setup. Depending upon price, it is still a viable machine for production. You will need to have a RIP to run it as well. You will also need to understand it's limitations and ability to print what you are looking for though to decide if it's a good fit.
